Gregg is extremely knowledgable about what he does. He explained why he was doing things and what the effect would be. He was also extremely capable in giving the actual massage. I think we actually went over the 1hr time limit too! He is a massively friendly guy and kept the conversation flowing the entire time, which does help if you're having a sports massage as they're not exactly pain-free! I have no hesitation in recommending him, and I myself will absolutely be using his services again.Matt Hearnden

Having recently taken up cycling I found that while I was riding I'd experience a tightness in my left leg. Having chatted to Greg whilst at the Fitness Room gym, he identified some stretches that would improve my flexibility and advised a sports massage to release some of the tension in my IT band which may be causing the irritation.
Having taken him up on an introductory discount offer he discovered that it was very tight indeed. I've now had a couple of sessions and have been impressed with his approach and can feel an improvement in my symptoms. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing to iron out any niggles to get you back on track or, in my case, the road.

I work as a Senior Manager regulating the night time economy in one of the UK's largest cities. I'm in my 40's and had not really done any genuine exercise since leaving school. When I was at school I was the "perfect" male specimen - body to die for through plenty of sport and exercise.
Time takes its toll though and the pressures of work and home life meant that I was not keeping fit and I was eating whatever was in front of me. In order to try and keep weight off I became bulimic.
Then in June 2012 I decided that I wanted to improve my work / life balance and conquer bulimia, and get back my confidence. I realised that the key to achieving this was to get fit and tone up, and learn how to diet correctly.
I chose to work with Greg Harvey at The Fitness Room, Berkhamsted. Despite still thinking I was a cool guy and could use my clothing to address any weakness in my bodys appearance, I was terrified of actually going to a gym for fear of feeling inferior to others. Greg has been fantastic. Not only does he provide great instructions on body exercises, he has also taught me what I should and shouldn't eat which was a key part of the solution, and written both exercise and food programmes for me. Greg is patient, modest, cares for his clients needs, and is always available to offer advice. He's also a genuinely great guy.
I have been on Greg's programmes for 4 months. In that time by body shape has changed for the better, I've lost fat, I've gained muscle, and I am far more confident and my self-esteem has soared. My gym time gives me some "me time", and with all of these issues combined, my energy levels have soared which has reaped benefits in my home life and in my working life. Now the clothes fit because my body is toned and lean, and I look good!
I would recommend Greg to anyone who is looking to get in shape, or improve the shape they already have. It has changed my life for the better, and I enjoy my work-outs with Greg.
